The California Community Colleges Technology Center, hosted by Butte College, facilitates and coordinates the work of systemwide technology. In our more than 25-year history of collaboration with the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office and community colleges statewide, the experience, vision, and execution of the CCC Technology Center have resulted in great strides forward for the system in areas like federated identity, application architecture, networking, and student services.
We operate under the Gartner model of “Run, Grow, Transform” to simplify our portfolio of services and prioritize resources in support of ongoing operations, the next phase of growth, and longer term transformative innovation.
Digital accessibility is no longer optional—it’s essential to equity, inclusion, and student success. At the California Community Colleges, just 4% of students engage with reactive accessibility services, underscoring the need for proactive, systemwide solutions.
Through ongoing collaboration between the Chancellor’s Office and the California Community Colleges Technology Center, the existing connection between the Chancellor’s Office Curriculum Inventory (COCI) and Course Identification (C-ID) is expanding.
The California DMV Wallet project went into full production on November 14, which marks a major step forward in secure, digital identity verification for students, offering college staff the ability to test mobile driver’s license (mDL) verification.
